So effed up...!

I was looking around for pics of Judith Hoag cause I have never seen her out of TMNT...and I found this....

::Taken from http://www.industrycentral.net/conte.../j_hoag.html::
Her film work was beginning to come along. She made her first film A Matter of Degrees which also starred Tom Sizemore and Arye Gross . Her next film was Cadillac Man in which she co-starred with Robin Williams and Tim Robbins. It was during this time that she read for the movie Teenage Ninja Turtles. "I got this movie while I was still shooting Cadillac Man and had to fly off to North Carolina on the weekends. Everyone wondered what kind of strange movie I was off doing. Only Robin had heard of the Ninja Turtles. He had collected all of the comic books and couldn't wait to see the movie. He brought his kids to the premiere and surprised me. The movie ended up being a big hit. I still have a hard time watching that movie... I was never satisfied with how it came out. It lost a lot of it's soul. Elias Koteas, however was brilliant."

Is this the reason why she didnt do 2 and 3...?

Maybe...but i don't get it, if she wasn't satisfied with her acting in tmnt 1 she could've tried harder in the next 2 movies.
I had no idea robin williams liked tmnt

Deathknight 01-14-2003 03:19 PM

Yeah, I think she was good in that movie though. Was the April in TMNT 2 in TMNT 3... I can never tell this kinda stuff cause to me she's just April. As a kid I don't even think I noticed that they changed actresses.

tmntpower2003 01-14-2003 03:24 PM

when i was little i didn't notice it either, and when i was a kid i liked the 2nd movie more cause it was the closest to the cartoon cause i was 5 when the first one came out and i didn't understand alot of it, i enjoyed it, just not as much as i do now, if you think about it the 2nd movie really didn't have a plot, cause in the beggining of the movie they found out how they were created. they should have included the utroms.

Deathknight 01-14-2003 03:32 PM

Meh, I have the official movie adaption comic and there's nothing about the Utroms in it. Actually it's almost identical to the movie. Except they added and took out little things.

That could also mean that it got cut a lot... And I think the third movie is the most cartoon like. Or atleast the costumes are.

And Robin Williams is fan of the True TMNT too!

True...but mabey she was talking about the way they presented it...like mabey she like it darker, and they lightened the movie up a bit. Or visa versa....cause she said that it "lost alot of its soul"...I wish she would go into detail about that...

Does anybody know if she has ever been asked to appear at the Comic Cons...its not as if she has been asked to do alot of movies recently...?

PROOF that Robin Williams rules all damn it.

I'm betting he liked the cartoon as well. I mean he did have kids and I'm sure they got into TMNT through it as we all did.

BTW, I hope you don't mind my editing your post.

Karpo_007 02-05-2003 04:36 PM

I doubt that few Original [better?] TMNT fans were fan of the cartoon after the first season. But of course his Kids probably liked the cartoon. That's just it. I really doubt that anyone under 10 would be intrested in the darker and more action packed TMNT... I could be wrong of course.
