Sorry for the downtime over the weekend, but the previous host for our forums took the database offline without notice because it was apparently slowing down the server too much. We are now online with a new host (and a few extra optimizations made to the forums), so hopefully the new server will be able to handle the forums. Everything should be working, but if you notice any problems, please let me know.

» "Choose Your Own Adventure" Style Fanfic- Should I Finish It?

Hi. Sorry to interrupt the usual type of news, but (and I doubt anyone remembers this) awhile back I mentioned I was starting on a "Choose Your Own Adventure" style fanfic, in which "you" join up with Shredder. At certain points in the story, you'll be given a choice of which action to take and the story changes depending on what you choose. Well, I bring this up because I came across what I've done so far of it recently and now I can't decide whether to bother finishing it or not. I don't know if there would be enough interest here in it to make it worth the time.

I'm posting the intro section of it to give everyone an idea of it. I do have other sections finished also, but it's still far from complete. Any thoughts? And no, I won't be offended if people aren't interested, I'm just wondering whether to scrap the idea or not.

A few new things from the official site: check out the preview for Tales of the TMNT #19, as well as pics of the new "Combat Warrior" and "Paleo Patrol" toys. There's also some info on the updates to 4kids' site in anticipation of the 100th episode of TMNT including some new games, a special 100th episode forum, downloads, trivia and other stuff.

Plus, prepare for a bovintacular cross over in Tales of the TMNT #21, as Ryan Brown's "Wild West Cow-Boys from Moo Mesa" join the TMNT as they track a stolen crystal shard.

Thats all for now.

Above is the latest poster for the 2007 CGI TMNT movie. It features the same image we already saw before in some other preview pictures... the little note on the bottom makes me think this may not be the exact one to show up in theatre doorways though.

With this also comes the news that Ubisoft will be producing a video game based on the CGI movie to accompany its release in 2007! No other details have been given yet.

The TMNT news seems to have slowed down for the holidays, but let's see what the cat dragged in...

If anyone is interested in one of the limited edition cold cast TMNT statues, the folks at Mirage recently got a fresh batch. Look out though, you'll need to order soon if you want one.

The official site has previews up for Tales of the TMNT #18 and issue 25 of volume 4

Plus, for anybody up in Denmark or Norway, you can apparently now buy the new toon episodes "Monster Hunter" and "Lone Raph and Cub" on mini DVDs. The DVDs are only one episode, in one language and don't have any bonus features. They each cost 29,95 DKK (4.77 USD) or 49,00 NKK (7.23 USD). Check out the Danish "Monster Hunter and "Lone Raph and Cub" DVDs. And the Norwegian "Monster Hunter" and "Lone Raph and Cub" DVDs.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Here are some updates to the site to celebrate the holiday season. First, I put up our traditional Christmas graphics on the site and the forums. If you don't see them, try clearing your cache and reloading the page. The reason they weren't up last year and they were late this year is that new ones needed to be made for the new design. Since that is done now, they will be up earlier as always starting next year.

Second, we have a new poem by Shredder! This poem is a humorous parody of the classic poem "The Night Before Christmas" from the perspective of Shredder from the original cartoon. Be sure to check it out in our Miscellaneous section under Fan Works!

Finally, the two remaining multimedia sections (Sounds and Video Clips) are back up, meaning that the entire site is now back online after the server move a few months ago. These sections are now using a new download script that should work much more reliably than the previous one. If you have any problems downloading from these sections, first try reloading the page, and if it still doesn't work, please let me know either on the forums or through email.

Again, sorry for the extended downtime on the forums, but as I mentioned on our anniversary, the server that we were previously hosted on was attacked, and our forums happened to be among the targets. Just like last time, our previous host was somewhat slow to respond and not very helpful, so we have moved the forums to a new host once again. Luckily, we had backups, so not much data was lost. I have also taken several extra precautions to hopefully prevent this type of situation from happening again, but if you ever notice anything unusual on the forums or the site, please let me know immediately. The forums should now be fully functional, so as long as there aren't any unexpected errors, I can now resume work on restoring the main site. Thanks for your patience and understanding, and welcome back once again to the forums!
