Metal Mutant Leonardo    (Click on an image for a larger version) BACKGROUND: Released in 1995, available in 1996, and discontinued in 1997. Metal Mutant Leo is 1 in a series of 5. Also included were Metal Mutant Donatello, Michaelangelo, Raphael, and Shredder. ACCESSORIES: Metal Mutant Leonardo comes with Dragon Katana, Metallized Dragon Helmet with Glowing Eyes, and Special Metallized Mutant Armor Plating. REVIEW: Metal Mutant Leonardo is one of the rarer released TMNT toys, thus making him worth more. The gimmicks on MMLeo are great: he comes packaged with armor that can turn into a dragon when disassembled. The negative aspect of the armor is it is hard to assemble into dragon mode. The base figure of Leo is 3 3/4" tall, and has movable arms, head, and legs. Nice Turtle armor mode too, with moving head, arms, legs, and claws. Leonardo is a nice looking figure without armor, but is improved with it. Would have a very nice score if armor was easier to assemble into dragon mode. OVERALL: 8.5/10
